Fair trade - trade between companies in developed countries and producers in developing countries in which fair prices are paid to the producers.
While starting my business I wanted to make sure that it was from a fair trade company. I want to be sure that when someone purchases any of my products from me that they know before being delivered here in the states, there is a process that happens. This process happens with women from the western and eastern parts of Africa, who work very hard to produce the shea nuts into a workable texture. Gathering of the shea nuts, quality, process etc. are all taken into consideration everything is done with so much focus and care. I appreciate the hard work that goes into each order of shea butter that I purchase for my business, their hard work doesn't go unnoticed and is always in my head when I'm making my products at home for my business.
