West Vs. East African Shea Butter

Nilotica Butter ( from the tree Vitellaria Nilotica in Uganda) has a more creamier and smooth texture than the Western Shea Butter from the Western parts of Africa (Northern Uganda mainly).

West Shea Butter ...

West Shea Butter ( Ghana ) is extracted fat from the same Shea tree " Vitellaria" .  The other thing that separates this butter from the Nilotica butter is the difference in color, those colors are Ivory and Yellow.

So whether you use butter from East or Western parts of Africa they both provide similar skin care benefits that you need when its comes to a great moisturizer for dry/itchy acne prone skin and it may help with eczema and stretch marks and can also be used as a hair conditioner and many other great benefits. The differences that these two butters have is just place of origin, texture and how they are processed.

Please be aware of all tree nut , wheat and milk allergies before use.
